Joining the Port Everglades team in May of 2013, Alinda Montfort comes to the Port from the Broward County Office of Public Communications, where she worked for more than 12 years. She has an extensive background in communications with broad-based experience in print, website, digital and broadcast communications.

As the Port Communications Manager, Ms. Montfort is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Port’s website, community outreach, media relations, special events, publications, presentations and social media. She also supports the Business Development Division’s marketing initiatives for both cruise and cargo through the development and upkeep of collateral materials including publications, brochures, maps, fact sheets, and media kits.

Prior to joining Broward County, Ms. Montfort was the editor of the Shipper Group of publications, owned by the Journal of Commerce, including the Florida Shipper, Gulf Shipper and Shipping Digest. She was also a producer for the NBC affiliate in Orlando, WKMG Channel 6. Alinda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Communications from the University of Central Florida. She is also a graduate of Leadership Hollyood in 2017.
