Biography
Christopher is the President and CEO of Urban Pulse Universal, an economic development, government services, real estate, and development firm. Urban Pulse specializes in partnerships with developers, local governments, real estate investors, and other organizations to develop inclusive, sustainable, and implementable solutions to positively impact the quality of life of residents and community stakeholders. Additionally, Christopher is a Commercial Broker with KW Commercial Atlanta Classic, specializing in land and mixed-use development projects. He also serves as Co-Chair of the KW Atlanta Classic Commercial Committee.
Prior to launching the reimagined Urban Pulse, Christopher served as the first Director of Economic Development for the City of South Fulton. Established in 2017, the City of South Fulton is one of the fastest-growing cities in Georgia, the third-largest municipality in metro Atlanta, and the eighth-largest in Georgia.
While at South Fulton, Christopher oversaw the establishment of the economic development department, Destination South Fulton, including the activation of the South Fulton Development Authority and Downtown Development Authority. Additionally, he was the project manager for the City's first Economic Development Strategic Plan and oversaw the establishment of the City’s two Tax Allocation Districts (TADs).
In addition to serving as the Economic Development Director, Christopher was the Executive Director of the South Fulton Convention and Visitors Bureau and the South Fulton Downtown Development Authority.
Before coming to South Fulton, Christopher served as the Director of Economic Development for the City of Villa Rica, Georgia. While in Villa Rica, Christopher served as the Executive Director of the Villa Rica Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Villa Rica Downtown Development Authority. Under Christopher’s leadership, Georgia Trend Magazine and the University of Georgia recognized the City of Villa Rica as a Four for the Future Community for work accomplished in the Downtown District.
Prior to joining the City of Villa Rica, Christopher served in several capacities for the City of Albany, including being elected to the Albany City Commission and serving one term as Mayor Pro Tem.
Christopher worked in several other capacities, including the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, Tax Allocation District (TAD) Board, Long Term Financial Planning Board, Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) Legislative Policy Council, Southwest Georgia Regional Commission, and the Albany-Dougherty Inner City Authority (ADICA).
Christopher holds a certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) from the National Development Council and is a Certified Public Manager (CPM). He received his Real Estate License from the Georgia Real Estate Commission and is working towards a Certification in Construction Management at Atlanta Technical College.
Christopher is a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, serving on the Diversity and Government Affairs Committees and the National Association of Realtors. He also holds professional memberships in the Georgia Economic Developers Association, International Economic Development Council, and the Georgia Downtown Association.
Christopher is a proud brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated and a Life Member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity.
Christopher considers his most important job as being the father of three wonderful children – Trinity, Christopher, and Tayden, AKA The Crew.
