Commercial Real Estate at the National Association of Realtors where he leads the association’s commercial real estate strategy and engagement. Johnny joined NAR after spending 15 years as a commercial practitioner, where his experience ranged from retail site selection, retail leasing, business development and store construction. Most recently, Johnny worked for Brookfield Properties (formally GGP) where he was responsible for both restaurant leasing and business development in properties throughout the country. Prior to that, Johnny was the Director of Real Estate and Construction with Global Franchise Group, representing several retail brands including Marble Slab Creamery, Great American Cookies, The Athletes Foot and Pretzelmaker, where he opened more than 300 stores nationwide during his tenure.Johnny is passionate about real estate both professionally and personally. He has a BBA in Real Estate from the University of North Texas and serves as the president of his condo association. Johnny is a fanatical home chef, design and renovation enthusiast and travel junky.
