Biography

As Senior Vice President of Development, Malloy is one the founding executives of Selig Development Company. Malloy plays a unique leadership role with Selig’s mixed-use developments spanning from design and planning to execution, lease-up, and operations. She has served as the lead development executive for The Works, Selig’s 80-acre adaptive mixed-use project in the Upper Westside. The Works was recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as its 2023 Best in Real Estate for Adaptive Reuse award winner and as Mixed-Use Development of the Year by NAIOP in 2022. Malloy also plays a leadership role in Heartwood in Powder Springs and was involved in the planning for Selig’s 1105 West Peachtree mixed-use development.

Malloy joined Selig in early 2017 after 13 years with Carter. There, she played a leading role in many of the company’s most significant public-private partnership developments. She specialized in the development of complex, large-scale, urban mixed-use projects, including the Summerhill redevelopment which was later awarded Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards Overall Deal in 2017. She has played an integral role on two of Carter’s most notable projects, The Banks, a $600 million urban mixed-use project in Columbus, Ohio and recipient of NAIOP Cincinnati’s prestigious “Impact Award,” and City Springs, a $300 million urban mixed-use public-private project in Sandy Springs developed in partnership with Selig.

For her achievements, she has been named a 2020 “Woman Who Mean Business” by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, an “Atlanta Power Women in Commercial Real Estate,” by Bisnow, and a “Woman to Watch,” by national publication, Real Estate Forum. She was also honored in ULI’s inaugural class of “The Leaders.”

Malloy is an active leader in the community. She currently serves as Chair of the City of Atlanta Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee. She has also served on the Board of Directors for Midtown Improvement District (MID) and the Upper Westside Community Improvement District (UWCID) since 2018. Georgia Institute of Technology Real Estate Board, and the Northwest Community Alliance (NCA). Malloy graduated from Leadership Atlanta in 2017 and has since played an active leadership role. For two semesters she also volunteered to lead a Real Estate Practicum class, teaching graduate and undergraduate students at Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business.
