Biography
Matt Ritchie, a native of Pineville, Louisiana, is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Marketing with a minor in International Business.
In 1997 Matt began his real estate career investing in single family, multifamily, commercial properties, and land. Obtaining his Real Estate License in 1999, Matt worked successfully as a REALTOR for three years when he decided it was time for more. Matt earned his Broker’s License in 2002 and in 2003 opened Ritchie Real Estate, LLC. In 2006 Matt earned the prestigious commercial real estate designation of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member).
In 2007, Matt was elected by his peers to President of the Central Louisiana Realtors Association, then rose to the ranks of the Louisiana Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) chapter to serve as 2013 President, then served as the 2014 President of the Louisiana Realtors Association, and served as Region 10 Regional Vice-President of the National Association of Realtors in 2016 members and most recently elected as 2017 Louisiana Realtor of the Year.
In 2017, Matt was also appointed by the Governor to the Louisiana Real Estate Commission where he currently serves as immediate Past-Chairman.
In 2024, Matt will serve as Chairman of the Real Property Operations Committee overseeing all buildings and real estate activity for the National Association of REALTORS.
Matt has developed a comprehensive network of relationships and contacts throughout the Louisiana and the United States, that have proven to be beneficial to him and his clients.
Today, Matt continues to run a successful real estate brokerage and management company while he remains committed to his and his clients’ real estate investments throughout Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.
ADAPTIVE REUSE EXPERIENCE
2007 – Conversion of former Winn-Dixie Grocery Store Into a Evacuation Shelter for a New Orleans Nursing Home Group
2021- Conversion of a modern indoor rodeo arena to a Class A Distribution Warehouse for Lowe’s Home Improvement Stores
2022 – Conversion of 88-room hotel into a 42-unit senior apartment building.
2023- Conversion of a 100,000 sf former office furniture manufacturing plant to a modern multi-tenant office/warehouse with common loading docks.
