Biography
Mike Lombardo, J.D. is the Managing Broker of Blue Star Properties and has
been an active real estate professional in Chicago since 2004. During that
time, Mike has represented both Tenants and Landlords in lease transactions
totaling more than 2 million square feet.
Mike played an integral role in redeveloping and leasing The National, a
historic 600,000 square foot Daniel Burnham designed property in the Central
Loop. When acquired, the project was 100% vacant. Upon disposition less
than three years later, Mike successfully leased the property to over 90%
occupancy to such companies as WeWork and Revival Food Hall. Mike also
owns and oversees the leasing of a portfolio of properties in the Chicagoland
area that contains more than 1 million square feet of office space. These
projects include the redevelopment and leasing of the historic Thalia Hall
in Pilsen, Moody Tongue Brewery in the South Loop, and the Morton Salt
redevelopment on Goose Island.
Mike has a deep understanding of the Chicago commercial real estate market
and always has his finger on the pulse of its constantly changing market
conditions. Mike has successfully applied his knowledge, not only as a broker
but also as an attorney, to ensure that his clients reduce their occupancy
costs and obtain lease terms most favorable to them. In his spare time, Mike
is a Board Member of the Chicago Chapter of City of Hope and is the former
Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Real Estate Committee.
