Description
The Commercial Real Estate Asset & Portfolio Management course examines asset and portfolio manager roles and responsibilities in commercial real estate investing. During this course, students will explore skill enhancement and career advancement for these two roles. Topics addressed in the asset management portion of the course include different types of asset management, use of market analysis and financial analysis tools to determine property investment needs, making leasing decisions, and considerations for holding or selling a property. Topics pertinent to portfolio management include how the real estate asset class impacts portfolio investment decisions, optimal investment strategies for commercial real estate cycles, and the impact of cash flows on a real estate portfolio.
Technical requirements: This course will use excel for some financial calculations, as well as demonstrate hands on exercises using online analysis tools. We recommend registrants bring a laptop or tablet with WiFi capability in order to access and use the online tools and excel financial calculator.
