Adaptive reuse in buildings transforms existing structures for use as new structures. For years we’ve seen warehouses and factories become residences, offices, retail space and restaurants. More recently, developers have been meeting new societal needs by repurposing vacant buildings into mixed-use facilities, public parks, schools, and affordable housing. There’s much more on the horizon. In this session, we explore the benefits of adaptive reuse from sustainability to financial  and social.
